There is little left for the debut of the Galaxy S22 line. In an editorial from Samsung on Thursday (20), the manufacturer said it will hold an Unpacked, brand launch event in February. The Expectation is that the Ultra edition will be the spiritual successor of the Galaxy Note, with the right to space to store the S Pen.
The confirmation is part of an editorial signed by TM Roh on Samsung’s Website of the United States. Throughout the text, the executive talks about the Galaxy Note, which in 2011 combined the portability of smartphones and the tablet notepad function. “Some refused the 5.3-inch screen – considered huge at the time – but Note created a legacy where a large screen is now the standard,” he said.
The S Pen is another feature of the line cited by the executive who, in his words, “surprised everyone”. Then Roh goes to 2019, when he had the debut of the Galaxy Z Fold folding cell phone line. And he went back to talking about the Galaxy Note, stating that “many were surprised” when Samsung did not launch a new edition in 2021, but that the company did not forget the experiences provided by the line.
And that’s where the point that deserves attention comes in:
“We are about to rewrite the rules of the industry once again,” he said. “At Unpacked February 2022, we’ll introduce the most remarkable S-line device we’ve ever created. The next generation galaxy s is here, bringing together the best experiences of our Samsung Galaxy into one definitive device.”
In this speech, it is important to note the part where the executive speaks “the most remarkable S-line device”. In the original version of the text, the excerpt appears as “the most noteworthy S series device”. Later, Roh goes on to say that consumers will help Samsung “rewrite the future of smartphones once again” and closes the text with “get ready for the best Ultra experience.”
The exact release date, however, has not been reported. But there are bets that the phones will be presented on February 9, 2022.
The executive’s speech gives more strength to expectations for mobile phones. This is because one of the bets for the Galaxy S22 Ultra is that the smartphone will receive features of the Galaxy Note line. This is the case of the drawer to store the S Pen and the top and bottom straight, as revealed leaked images of the future phone.
The presence of S Pen also appears in anatel documentation revealed exclusively by Tecnoblog. On the 10th, the National Telecommunications Agency approved the cell phone that will be marketed with the ej-ps908 model pen in the box. The technical compliance certificate also cites the EB-BS908ABY battery that was certified in December with 4,855 mAh of rated capacity.
The line should still have two more models. This is the case of conventional and Plus editions, which tend to repeat the same look of the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21+, respectively. That is, the flat screen with a hole is expected to house the selfie sensor and triple camera system to remain on both smartphones.
Another bet of the trio is for the advanced technical data sheet. The phones are expected to be marketed with the Snadpragon 8 Gen 1 or exynos 2200 with AMD graphics, depending on the region. In addition, contrary to what was expected, Samsung can sell the variant with qualcomm’s chip in Brazil. But you have to wait for confirmation to see if the phones will arrive here with Exynos or not.
