Samsung will unveil its first folding tablet early next year: it should have two hinges, and then bend into three parts. The information comes from Gizmochina in collaboration with the well-known leaker Yogesh. The concrete details are few: the source says that the device will support a new generation of S Pen, called hybrid, on which, however, little is known. It could already debut on the Galaxy Z Fold 3, and it should be different from all the nibs Samsung has brought to market so far.
Another important anticipation concerns the coating of the screen: it should be a revised and corrected version of the UTG or Ultra-Thin Glass already seen in the Galaxy Z Flip and galaxy Z Fold 2, characterized by a slightly higher thickness to ensure better structural resistance. This component should also debut on Galaxy Z Fold 3.
The timing speaks of the first quarter of 2022. This is not the first time a 3-section folding tablet has been rumoured from the South Korean giant, but until a few months ago it was expected to launch by the end of 2021. This summer (probably in August) Samsung is still expected to present the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Flip2, and is considering the possibility of showing a brief preview of the tablet right during that event.
