SC indicated that users will be able to easily transfer the images from Google Photos to the Apple iCloud soon.
Easy transfer from Google Photos to iCloud
Some of the notable devices that Google and Apple collaboratively work together are in developing a new means through which users can transfer images from Google Photos to iCloud.
The object that fits the description best is an image transfer automation tool.
This new application that is expected to be launched later this week is in fact a transfer automation tool. It thus enables the user not to download or upload or undertake and other function other than to instigate the process on the web. Apple also says in one of its support web pages the transfer time can take between a few hours to several days depending on the transfer.
Conditions of the transfer and restrictions
Transferring images from Google Photos to Google iCloud does not in any way cause the images in the Google Photos to be deleted. If needed, the user has to do this manually, which involves a set of procedures and likely has extensive search capabilities as well. Furthermore, the service is not available for children’s accounts, accounts set by the IT administrators (managed Apple ID accounts) or accounts with Advanced Data Protection turned on.
This tool accompanies the one released in 2021 through which, on the contrary, you could copy your images from iCloud to Google Photos.
A regulatory context that fosters the cooperation of digital behemoths
One must recall that the release of this innovation is simultaneously related to the European Commission’s adoption of the Digital Markets Act, which has led the digital gatekeepers to adapt to the regulation of this authority. That is when DTI was emerged, which led to the creation of previously unthinkable joint projects with Apple, Google, and Meta to foster interoperability in the field of data transfer.
