Google’s Pixel 10: Everyone expects a lot from the next flagship:
In this article, we’ve only just started to explore the Pixel 9, which was released this year; it’s already time to focus on the next generation and think about what Google is capable of with the Pixel 10, the device that will be launched as the new flagship phone in 2025. However, there will be no new flagship model for the next half a year, and leaks around the future Pixel 10 have already revealed what we can expect from this future device.
Pixel 10 How many years can we look for and at what price?
Usually, the Google new phones are released in October but this has not been the case with Pixel 9 series which was released in the last month of August, effectively two months earlier than it is customary for Google to tap into the market with their new phones. Such a pattern puts a shroud of unpredictability regarding the Pixel 10’s possible release period. Google may one day stick to releasing its phone in October, but with Android 16 already expected to be launched in the spring, it may be that this new Pixel is set to be out even earlier.
The last aspect of the conflict is the price. It has been a back-to-back price hike for pixel 9, where it was released along with iPhone 16 and Samsung Galaxy S24, at $799. Only time will tell if Google will continue to uphold these price tags or will begin asking for more from the customers.
What design and performance for the Pixel 10?
If a leak relating to the Pixel 10’s design is to be believed, the phone could be more or less identical to the Pixel 9. That means we should expect a 6.3-inch display on the standard and Pro model, plus a larger 6.8-inch XL model.
Performance is where the Pixel 10 is expected to shine compared to previous models, thanks to the Tensor G5 chipset that is expected to power the new phone. Designing the chips from scratch gives Google full control over the chip and its processes, which is an opportunity to make Tensor the Android equivalent of Apple’s A-series.
What about the battery and features of the Pixel 10?
We don’t have any rumors about the Pixel 10’s battery life yet, but we have high expectations for this phone. Given the huge improvement in battery life of the Pixel 9 series, we expect Google to continue pushing future Pixels to make them last as long as possible.
One thing is for sure, the Pixel 10 will arrive with Android 16. A new version of Android and a new Tensor chipset also mean that there is room for many new exclusive software features to come with the phone.
There’s still a lot we don’t know about the Google Pixel 10, and it’s hard to get a clear picture of what this phone will be like. Google will have to keep everything that the Pixel 9 did well, and then find a way to improve them significantly.
