Apple has reportedly tested a blood glucose monitoring app

A program that was made by Apple to help in controlling glucose.
Apple is going to progress this research in the sphere of health; this time it has developed a software application for glucose tracking. Bloomberg has also reported that tech giant has trialed an application this year for people with pre-diabetes. They were assisted in order to control diet and activity level.

An application tested internally is;
Originally, the app was piloted with employees who, based on a blood test, were deemed to be at high risk of developing type 2 diabetes. These subjects “watched their glucose fluctuation by using a wide array of monitoring devices that are circulating in the market,” and logged the corresponding changes in glucose levels. The app then recorded the associations between consuming the above foods and fluctuation in blood sugar.

Taking a break to go over other health aspects
Bloomberg reports that Apple has halting the project probably to work on other features in this field. The current existing Apple Health app does not include food logging similar to the existing competitors. Though, there is a possibility that in future apple could provide more native integration of glucose tracking from third parties.

The extension of Apple’s search
This test is not directly affiliated to Apple’s 15 years’ pursuit of making non-invasive blood glucose monitoring possible. Bloomberg has it that the current form of the company’s hardware in development is an iPhone-sized wearable gadget that emits laser light into the skin. The first consumer faced version if developed on the wearable like Apple Watch or something would probably only tell that the consumer is possibly pre-diabetic. It is expected to be provided in the later versions the exact glucose levels to be introduced into the model.
