Instagram is having problems on Wednesday (5). According to the reports of users on social networks, the service is experiencing instability in the feed and stories, which simply do not load. The complaints were shared on Twitter.
Instagram had problems around 11 a.m.
The complaints began just before lunchtime. As you can see from the complaints graph on DownDetector, a site that monitors the operation of the main online services, Instagram began to present the problems from 11:07 a.m., gradually rising, with a fall and a new rise around 12 p.m.
At 1:53 p.m., the chart was showing a peak, well above the platform’s average complaints, still with no signs of falling.
On Twitter, some users complained about the instability. The volume of complaints is lower than in other similar episodes, which leads to believe that the failure is not widespread.
Threads, Instagram’s Twitter, arrives tomorrow
The instability on Instagram comes the day before a major launch. On Thursday (6), Meta will make available Threads, your response to Twitter (or copy of Twitter, as you prefer).
Some pages of the new social network were publicly available for a few hours on the morning of Wednesday (5), before being removed.
Companies, such as Globo and Netflix, and celebrities, such as singer and former BBB Juliette and actress Fernanda Paes Leme, had early access to the platform. Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, already has 1,800 followers there.
Threads will have a look similar to that of Instagram and will be linked to the social network of photos and videos.
