Harman is preparing to launch a new JBL brand product in Brazil. The National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) approved Flip Essential 2, the natural successor to Flip Essential, one of the company’s most popular Bluetooth speakers. This new model delivers a design similar to its predecessor, but bets on a considerably larger battery, improved wireless standard to ensure more stability and charging via USB-C.

Anatel’s documentation brought a lot of information about Flip Essential 2. Starting with the basic details, the file mentions manufacturing units in Manaus (AM) and China, as well as compatibility with Bluetooth 5.1, representing an advance in the 4.1 standard adopted by the original Essential.

The photos released by Anatel also show that the design is practically the same as the previous model, with rubberized body and buttons for volume control, playback and Bluetooth. However, the charging port is now USB-C instead of micro-USB.

In addition to the new wireless connection standard, which arrives to ensure greater stability, Harman has also made another major internal improvement. The battery, which in the previous version totaled 3,000 mAh, now delivers 7,500 mAh, offering up to 20 hours of music playback.

As expected, the company maintained the IPX7 certification, which guarantees water resistance and allows you to dip the “canister” up to 1 meter deep for 30 minutes. With this, you can use it quietly in an afternoon by the pool without any fear.

There is still no information about the price or when Flip Essential 2 will be launched in Brazil, but considering that the certification has already been issued by Anatel, releasing the marketing of the product, it should not take long for the new model to be available to the public.
