Instagram went down for some users, according to reports published from noon on Tuesday (05/03). People can’t post or view the feeds of platform-specific profiles. One of the warnings is that “you can’t reload the feed.” Meta’s head of communications posted on X/Twitter that the company is aware of the issue. “We’re working on it right now,” Andy Stone said.
It’s not the only Mark Zuckerberg platform with a problem this afternoon: Facebook is down and Threads doesn’t allow you to view the timeline. The mobile app offers to “try again” but nothing happens.
Searches for the subject skyrocketed on Google. People seem to want to know what’s going on.
On the other hand, the monitoring site DownDetector indicates that Brazilians experience the breakdown in several regions, as you can see in the illustration below. The heatmap highlights São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Brasília, Recife, Salvador, Curitiba, Porto Alegre and Belém.
The WhatsApp communicator, also from Meta, continues to work normally.
