Ed Sheeran took colors and brushes for charity, packing an abstract painting called Splash Planet. The piece was the prize of a charity lottery for the Cancer Campaign association in Suffolk (CCiS), which raised over 50 thousand pounds. The Pollock-style work will furnish the home of a lucky American, who participated in the riff with a donation.

The lottery was launched a month ago and ended on Monday with the winning ticket draw. In a video message Ed Sheeran confirmed: “The painting is one of mine. One of the biggest ones, which you also saw on the cover of Afterglow. The artist’s passion for painting is not new and in the past his paintings had contributed to fundraisers for charities.
